Whore Fatigue

“I find many men want to have sex with me on a recreational level from my social groups, but I am not interested. I only seek meaningful, in depth sexual relationships. I have sown my wild oats, and experience so many sexual experiences on the job that are purely a service relationship. So now I need something more.”

“I can’t kiss.”

“At first it heightened our sexual relationship because I had new confidence in myself, but after a while, I found all my sexuality went out at work, and I didn’t want it at home.”

“It affects my sex life because I’m tired of taking my clothes off.”

Whore fatigue is not just something escorts experience. Exotic dancers, phone sex operators, nude models – most sex industry workers will experience it at one time or another. It is the feeling of not wanting to be sexy, act sexy, dress sexy, or otherwise engage in any kind of sexual activity whatsoever. Sometimes we just don’t want to work when we get home.

If you wish to maintain a sexual relationship outside of work, you have to take time for yourself to debrief and recoup. Otherwise, sex with your partner(s) will feel like work and that is obviously not what you want.

Advice from others about whore fatigue:

“If I've had a few bookings that were all oral or all missionary vaginal, I'll generally avoid those with my partner.”

“Know the difference between sex with a client and sex with a partner. Keep business separate.”

“Having personal sexual relationships is healthy. Make sure you balance your time properly to give healthy energy and positive interactions to your personal life.”

“Create boundaries and make sure they are clear to both of you.”
